Apricot Yarn & Supply

Workshop: Anker’s Summer Top (Adult Sized)

Session dates:September 18, 25, and October 9 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Gorgeous in linen or cotton, the Anker’s top is perfect for life in San Diego – great over a swimsuit for a day at the beach and just as comfortable as a layering piece on breezy nights. This top works up quickly, and the stockinette is effortless to make and wear. If this is your first sweater class with us you are in for a great skill building knit.

As with any sized garment, gauge is important! Students must create swatch(es) prior to class and come prepared to cast on with yarn and needles necessary to meet gauge.Students should be proficient in the basics of knitting (comfortable knitting, purling, working in the round, and following written directions) before taking this class.

If you have not taken a sweater class at Apricot before, we strongly encourage you to take the Sweater Prep Workshop on September 5.

  • Meets for 3 sessions, 2 hours each session
  • Skill level: adventurous beginner and beyond
  • Topics taught in class: basic sweater construction, finishing and care
  • Materials: yarn and needles to meet gauge (see pattern for size information), stitch markers, darning needle, waste yarn
  • Pattern: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ankers-summer-shirt
