Class: Afterthought Heel Technique Workshop

Date
10 items left

In this hands-on one-session workshop Hadley will walk students through the steps to insert an afterthought heel as for a sock. This is great for students looking to expand their sock-knitting repertoire, and ideal for those who took the Cozy Autumn Socks class in January.

This versatile technique is a great one to know, whether you’re using
it for socks or to add a pocket to your next sweater! Students should be comfortable knitting in the round.

HOMEWORK:  Come to class with a stockinette tube live on the needles, at least 2” in length.

Skill level: adventurous beginner and beyond (please note this class is not appropriate for true novices)

Topics taught in class: afterthought heel
Materials you need to bring to class:

  • stockinette tube,
  • smooth yarn of the same weight you used for your tube in a contrasting color,
  • a clasping stitch marker

Pattern: provided by instructor
