Class: Free Your Fade Shawl

Expand your knitting horizons with an introduction to lace shawl knitting. This beautiful fade-style shawl comes in fingering- and DK-weight versions. The simple shaping and basic lace rows are accessible for beginners, while more advanced students will enjoy knitting along with the latest trend! Students should be comfortable knitting and following written directions before taking this class. Gauge is not critical, but it will impact the final size of the shawl.

We ask that supplies needed for the class are purchased from our shop. As a thank you for taking a class with us we offer 10% off class supplies and on the day of class.

• Meets for 3 sessions, 2 hours each session
• Skill level: adventurous beginner and beyond
• Pattern and supplies are not included in class fee.
• Topics taught in class: asymmetrical elongated triangle shawl construction, basic lace stitches, modifying shawls for size and yarn, using a lifeline, picot bind off, basic finishing and care
• 3 skeins fingering-weight yarn (or DK for DK version) in a natural fiber/natural blend,
• needles to obtain gauge, clasped and ring stitch markers, darning needle
