Class Description:    This light and feminine top is fun to knit and right on trend with its yoke detail andhint of mohair, while the generous size range, fit options, and open gauge make it extremely wearable. You’ll love learning a new style of construction that keeps all the benefits and ease of a top-down knit. If you’ve taken our other sweater classes, there is lots new to learn with this one. And if this is your first sweater class with us the Love Note Sweater will prove to be a beautiful skill builder. As with any sized garment, gauge is important! Students must create swatch(es) prior to class and come prepared to cast on with yarn and needles necessary to meet gauge. Students should be proficient in the basics of knitting (comfortable knitting, purling, working in the round, and following written directions) before taking this class. To get the most out of this class, students should be prepared to keep pace knitting an adult-sized sweater in six weeks.

Skill level: experienced beginner and beyond

Topics taught in class: provisional cast on, top-down yoke construction, increases and decreases, picking up stitches, simple lace, basic finishing and care

Materials: yarn and needles to meet gauge (see pattern for size information), stitch markers, darning needle, waste yarn

Yarn: We would appreciate if yarn used for our classes is not brought from a different shop. (This is not a "rule" - just a preference.) We have a range of weights of yarn to choose from. Come early to shop!
