Fall For Shawls: October 2021

Color
Dark Grey
Neutral
Burgundy
Green
Seafoam
Black
Primrose Pink

Our Fall For Shawls series features a yarn and pattern that compliments the season.

For October we chose a light shawl meant to be worn around your neck for those chilly days or nights. The pattern is The Hipster Shawl by Joji Locatelli.  The luxurious pairing of this pattern and the yarn, Illimani Santi , creates that ever-so-soft neck wear we grab again and again. Wear it for a walk to coffee or an evening out. Santi, by Illimani Yarn, is a wonderful 2-ply blend of extra-fine merino, baby alpaca, yak and silk. Pick a color pop or a simple neutral for this quick, luxurious project.

Kit includes:

Pattern, printed

5 skeins of Illimani Santi, a generous amount to finish the shawl regardless of gauge

one split ring marker

Needles and notions required but not included: US 8, 40" circular, tapestry needle, blocking pins or wires

Construction notes from the pattern: This shawl is worked from the center top down. Stitches are increased at each side one every other row to give it its characteristic crescent shape. Finished shawl: approx 83" from side to side and 22 inches from center top to bottom, after blocking.
