Apricot Yarn & Supply

Workshop: Sun for Gray Days Shawl

Session dates: September 25, October 9 and 23 from 10 a.m. to noon

This happy little shawl is just right combination of interest and simplicity! This is a great class to stretch yourself a bit with some simple lace, but don’t worry, squishy garter sections break up the knit and give your mind and hands a chance to relax. The forward momentum of these striped asymmetrical shawls is astounding and you’ll be done and knitting the next one before you know it. Newer knitters will love the chance to build their skills with this lovely shawl, while more experienced knitters will enjoy the thoughtful tips and social atmosphere of our classes.

  • Meets 3 sessions, 2 hours each session
  • Skill level: adventurous beginner and beyond (students should be comfortable knitting, purling and reading patterns)
  • Topics taught in class: basic asymmetrical shawl construction, simple lace, reading charts, bobbles, picot bind off
  • Materials: yarn and needles to meet gauge (see pattern for information), pattern, stitch markers, post it notes or highlighter tape, tapestry needle to weave in ends
  • Pattern: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sun-for-grey-days

We ask that materials for the class are purchased at our shop. Mention your class sign up and receive 10% off your class materials.
