HOMEWORK TO BE COMPLETED BEFORE CLASS: In order to maximize class time, students are asked to start the ribbing of the hat at home and come ready to begin the colorwork.

Skill level: adventurous beginner and beyond (students should be comfortable knitting, purling, reading patterns, and working in the round)

Topics taught in class: stranded colorwork, reading a chart, basic hat construction
- Materials: yarn and needles to meet gauge (see pattern for information), pattern, stitch markers, post it notes or highlighter tape, tapestry needle to weave in ends
