Sabai Top Class: Knit a Summer Top

Join us to make the perfect summer and fall top! This gorgeous knit flatters any wearer and is wonderful for warm San Diego weather this time of year. This will be a fun first garment class, and great for anyone who likes the camaraderie and momentum of group knitting. As with any sized garment, gauge is important! Students must create swatch(es) prior to class and come prepared to cast on with yarn and needles necessary to meet gauge. Students should be proficient in the basics of knitting (comfortable knitting, purling, working in the round, and following written directions) before taking this class. Instructor is Sara Heckman.

Meets for 3 sessions, 2 hours each session
Skill level: adventurous beginner and beyond
Topics taught in class: basic sweater construction, finishing and care

Materials you will need to purchase for class: 

1. DK weight yarn and US 6 needles
2. stitch markers,
3. darning needle,
4. waste yarn

6. Bring your swatch to class, made with the yarn and needles you will be using.

We ask that you purchase any materials you need for this class from our shop. We offer a 10% discount on materials purchased for class, just mention you have signed up for the class at check out in store.

For a full refund, we require 24 hours notice if you can't not attend the class.
