rewardsBaah La Jolla is Baah Yarn's most popular and sought-after product. This is a fingering weight yarn, made of 100% superwash merino wool. Each unique skein of Baah La Jolla is carefully hand painted in small batches in their Las Vegas studio, using only high-quality yarn and professional grade dyes.
Please keep in mind that the colors shown on your screen may vary due to differences in computer screen calibration. As with all hand-dyed yarns, each skein takes on a slightly different appearance (even when dyed together!) No two will look identical, which makes each skein beautifully unique!
Blocking: Use a spray bottle filled with ice cold water and spray your garment, block and lay flat to dry.

Love this yarn
I used this yarn along with some mohair I had purchased in Norway and just finished making the most beautiful shawl. The color combination was perfect and working with both yarns in tandem was a luxury for my hands. I've already worn my shawl and gotten rave reviews on it! Woo Hoo!
I've used Baah La Jolla for years. It's a great yarn that wears well and is very soft. The hand-dyed dye lots for the same colorway can very widely so you MUST make sure you get the full amount up front for a project, or you will likely have an issue tracking down an exact match.
I bought this yarn to make a lighter weight beanie and it is perfect. As well as very nice to work with.
Loved the yarn and the colors are perfect for what I wanted!!
My old standard. Light and the tip has gentle tip to help press hook through loops.
So soft and light!
I enjoyed working with this Malabrigo yarn. I crocheted a beanie as requested by my granddaughter. I normally knit but this was a special request. The cap turned out beautiful, comfy and feels wonderful.
I’m using this yarn for the American afghan pattern. It’s perfect for this project.
I have several Lykke small circulars as well as both the 3” and 5or 6 inch tip interchangeable Lykke sets. I love how much easier wood needles are on my hands when knitting…except for sticky yarns and then I have to switch to my metal Chiaogoo needles. I’m about to start a two color brioche class to learn brioche knitting and the yarn is superwash Merino (perfect wood needle yarn) and the two patterns call for 9” circs plus a larger circ (I have the larger in my Lykke sets) and double pointed needles. I don’t have any Lykke DPNs so I ordered the 9” circ and the DPNs in the “supposed” size will need. Let’s hope I get gauge on them or I’ll be buying one more size up or down, right?
I’m giving 5 stars ahead of time then, because I love all my other Lykke’s and I use them for everything but my Shetland wool yarns. I highly recommend the sets. You can get extra cords in any length to use with them. I have the two sets because I often have more than one project going needing the same size needle although I’ve also bought extra tips in my most used sizes. I tend to gravitate to the 3” tips most often.
