Product Description
Expand your knitting horizons with an introduction to lace shawl knitting. This beautiful fade-style shawl comes in fingering- and DK-weight versions. The simple shaping and basic lace rows are accessible for beginners, while more advanced students will enjoy knitting along! Students should be comfortable knitting and following written
directions before taking this class. Gauge is not critical, but it will impact the final size of the shawl.
Skill level: adventurous beginner and beyond
Topics taught in class: asymmetrical elongated triangle shawl construction, basic lace stitches, modifying shawls for size and yarn, using a lifeline, basic finishing and care.
Materials need for class but not included:
- Yarn: at least 3 skeins fingering-weight yarn (or DK for DK version) in a natural fiber/natural blend,
- Needles: Fingering: US 4 or DK: US 7
