 Students should be comfortable knitting and following written directions before taking this class. Please note: Students are responsible for purchasing pattern prior to first class session. Gauge is not critical, but it will impact the final size of the shawl. 

• Meets for 2 sessions, 2 hours each session 
• Skill level: adventurous beginner and beyond 
• Topics taught in class: elongated crescent shawl shape, short rows, stylistic increases, carrying yarn, stretchy bind off, basic blocking 
• Materials: 3 skeins fingering- or lace-weight yarn (check pattern for size specifics), and needles  to obtain gauge, clasped and ring stitch markers, darning needle
