Lang Yarns Vaya is a blend of breathable cotton with a touch of wool & yak fiber. The yak fiber gives each colorway a dark undertone that gives knits a beautiful depth.
The chain construction gives knits a polished, sophisticated vibe & lends the functional benefit of helping garments maintain shape. The stitch definition is gorgeous on everything from lace to stockinette.
*Please note, this yarn is on the thinner side & designed for garments & accessories with drape, as well as a more open, lightweight fabric. The Lang Patterns using this yarn recommend a size US 2.5 needle for ribbing & a size US 4 for the body.

Great Great yarn!! Love the color, love the feel and love the ease of weaving with it.
After knitting with primarily wool yarns, I was worried about a 70% cotton yarn not having enough 'give' in a summer tee that used 1 x 1 ribbing for yoke shaping (Anker's Summer Shirt), and I would end up with a knitted puddle. There was good stitch definition and my worries about shaping disappeared as I knitted the first two layers of rib repeats. This yarn was lovely to work with and is light and fluffy once knitted up. I didn't appreciate the soft gray in the yarn until I finished my tee, which gives a real richness and depth to the light aqua color. The only downside to this yarn is that the cotton thread 'cage' surrounding the wool can get snagged occasionally. Would definitely use again; it's perfect for San Diego weather!
