    Product Description

    SASAWASHI FLAT is made from kumasasa, a variety of bamboo that grows in high elevations of 1,000 meters above sea level. As kumasasa has natural antibacterial and deodorizing properties, as well as protection against UV rays, this yarn is particularly well-suited for making summer accessories like a crochet hat or clutch. It has also been treated with water-proofing to help keep the dirt away. (This water-proofing will gradually fade over time.

    SASAWASHI FLAT works up into smaller stitches than the original SASAWASHI, producing a softer, lighter-weight fabric. Available in subtle shades, it has a natural luster that is unique to Japanese paper.
