Amano Warmi Journeys is Amano's first hand-dyed line of Warmi, their Baby Alpaca and Merino Wool blend. Soft alpaca and strong Merino wool combine to a yarn which is structurally and visually unique, celebrating the natural beauty of the Andes region.
These new shades are inspired by the abundant, rich flora of the Andes. Each skein has been painted by hand, bringing a unique and delicate color story. This yarn is extra soft and squishy.

I am a brand new knitter (shout out to Cheryl, who is a great teacher!) and purchased this beautiful yarn to make my first real project (a scarf in stockinette stitch). It is so wonderful. I selected the "6106" color (these yarns deserve prettier names!) and it reminds me of a summer strawberry spinach salad. It's springy and soft and has a pretty halo. It also seems durable -- I had to frog out my work 4x before I managed to get it right, and you wouldn't know it to look at the yarn! I also love this yarn because I am not experienced enough yet for color work and feel that I am getting the delight of changing tones without having to know how to actually add new yarns. Highly recommend. Thank you, Apricot, for carrying such wonderful materials and having such kind and helpful staff.
