What is Donegal?

Originally from Donegal, Ireland, Donegal is a wool fiber that is shorter and slightly felted before being added to the other yarn fiber. This creates a little bump that sits up from the yarn fiber.

• Fiber: 35% Merino wool, 20% baby alpaca, 15% silk, 15% yak, 15% Donegal 
• Yards: 125m, 147 yds
• Gauge: 22-25sts in 4 inches on US 5-7 needles
• Care: Hand wash only
