    About this yarn

    Laine x Novita DK is a soft, smooth blend of three premium British wools: Falkland wool, Bluefaced Leicester, and Bluefaced Kerry Hill, spun in Yorkshire. It has effortless stitch definition and plenty of character, a joy to knit or crochet for timeless garments and accessories.

    Use Laine x Novita DK for defined cables in a sweater like the Cadence by Marie Regnier, or in one of the patterns designed specifically for this line, like the Stormfell pullover by Jonna Helin. This collaboration between Laine and Novita also comes in a lighter weight, Laine x Novita 4ply.

    What is Falkland wool?

    Wool from sheep raised on the Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic. It makes up 70% of this blend, with Bluefaced Leicester and Bluefaced Kerry Hill, two British sheep breeds, making up the rest.

    Is there a lighter version?

    Yes! This collaboration between Laine and Novita also includes a fingering weight yarn, Laine x Novita 4ply, if you like this blend and are looking for something finer.

    Who is Novita?

    A family-run business with a history spanning nearly 100 years, Novita is the largest yarn producer in the Nordic countries.

    How do I care for it?

    Hand wash with cold water and a gentle wool wash like Soak, then lay flat to dry.

    How much yarn do I need?

    Referencing your pattern and your desired size & gauge is the best way to ensure you will have enough yarn! As a general example, knitting a size 4 of the Mosspath Cardigan by Jonna Helin calls for 6 skeins of Laine x Novita DK.
