A Yarn Crawl is a community-organized event focused on exploring the yarn shops of an area over a specific period. A group of stores, yarn dyers, and farmers come together to provide a week of fun for fiber enthusiasts.
What is San Diego Yarn Crawl?
San Diego Yarn Crawl is a community-organized fiber enthusiast event where you get to spend the weekend with us on a self-guided, self-paced tour of San Diego-based local yarn stores, and two alpaca farms! What we can guarantee is that you will have access to a wide variety of yarns, needles, knitting and crochet tools, and best of all, get up and personal with cute alpacas!Each of the local yarn shops and farms has a different personality, so you will want to visit all nine participating locations.

Each participating location is committed to offering unique activities and holding special events that you won't want to miss! Some events will be the entire week, and others on specific days. We will have more on scheduled events, trunk shows, make & takes, and much more.

How to Crawl
- Present the San Diego Yarn Crawl Passport at each participating venue you visit to receive that location's stamp.
- Leave your passport at your last stop. By leaving the passport, you are entered into a drawing to win a basket full of goodies from that location when it has three or more stamps.
- Crawlers receive a stamp from each participating location, and will be automatically entered to win our Grand Prize. $50 gift certificate to each location with a total value of $400 Grand Prize!
Once the passport is printed, please fill it out and have each participating location stamp your passport during the visit. Qualify to enter a location raffle by visiting a minimum of 3 locations. By leaving your passport at the last stop of your Crawl, you will be entered in that location's drawing. If you visit all locations, you will be entered to win the Grand Prize. The Grand Prize is a $50 giftcard from each location.
