The 2026 edition of the San Diego Yarn Crawl will feature 6 unique stops, including shops, farms, and a weaving studio. Each participating location is committed to offering curated activities and holding special events that you won't want to miss. Some events will be the entire week, and others on specific days. In-Person Trunk Show + Meet Heather Walople, Ewe Ewe's Owner & Lead Designer
Stop by to meet Heather and explore the Ewe So Cute Trunk Show, featuring the adorable ABC Sweater worked in different yarn weights along with sweet baby blanket inspiration.
Heather will also host short Color Theory Talks at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm on Sunday, September 27 perfect for knitters and crocheters who want a little extra confidence choosing and combining colors.
In Person Trunk Show + Meet Karen Sofie Sorensen, Magicland's Founder & Co-owner
Karen of Magicland Yarn is bringing a colorful trunk show to Apricot, available to shop throughout the entire event.
Karen will be joining us in person on Friday, September 25 from 10am–6pm. Come meet the dyer, talk color and yarn, and see her hand-dyed creations up close.
And keep an eye out for a special space-themed Magicland Yarn colorway created for our trip through the Yarniverse.
Trunk Show
Your yarn deserves a good travel companion. During Yarn Crawl, we’ll have a special selection of Bay Area Project Bags available for in-store shopping.
These handmade project bags are sewn in California and designed to keep knitting and crochet projects organized whether you’re crafting at home, or traveling between Yarn Crawl stops.
We’ll have three sizes available in limited quantities, so stop by early for the best selection.

Live Demonstration
Ever wondered how fiber becomes yarn? Come see the process in action with the San Diego County Spinners!
Members of the group will join us for an in-person spinning demonstration on Sunday morning 10am-12m. Stop by to watch spinning wheels at work, learn more about the craft of handspinning, and chat with local fiber enthusiasts.
Whether you’re already a spinner or simply curious about how yarn is made, this is a fun opportunity to experience another corner of San Diego’s fiber community.
