Lykke double pointed needles are 6" in length.
Made of strong birch wood, the LYKKE Driftwood needles are very smooth and light. With their warm character, the Driftwood needles are easy on the hands and the eyes - a true pleasure to work with. All LYKKE needles have both US and metric sizes etched on the needles to ensure long-term readability.
I am new to knitting and never used this technique. I am making wool beanies for Christmas presents from Nancy Bates patterns. Thanks to the internet, I was able to figure out how to use these needles to finish off the top of the hat. Also I asked a question about an area in the patternI didn’t understand and your sales person was able to give me a quick clear answer. Thankyou…:)
I broke my long 8” needles so I went with these. I like the wood feel in my hands and they are long enough to help manipulate my knitting work. The best part is the size is in the middle of the needle. Easy to read and keep track of your needle sets especially when you have to change sizes while knitting in pattern.
My preference for DPN's is wood. I was hesitant to try Lykke for DPN's because I could see via online photos, a metal piece in the middle of each needle. I also like my needles a little longer. Given I am happy with my other Lykkes though, I gave them a try. I finished one pair of socks on the new Lykke DPN's, and am beginning a new pair-----no problem whatsoever with the join or the length. In fact, I like them a lot because they are very lightweight and they are just slick enough.
